Who is Citizen?

The rights and privileges of Canadian citizens are many in Canada. There is access for citizens to healthcare, social services, and legal support. A citizen is entitled to live, work, study, and vote anywhere else in Canada. Citizenship may also not be withdrawn or removed. All Canadian-born people are automatically entitled to nationality. Further, by properly applying with Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada, foreign nationals can become naturalised Canadians (IRCC).

 
Requirements:
 

• In Canada, for at least 1,095 days (3 years) during 5 years prior to the date you signed your application, you (and certain minors, if necessary) must have been present physically.
• During the 5 years just before the date of application, you may need to file taxes in Canada for a minimum period of 3 years.
• If the day you sign your application you are between 18 and 54 years of age, you must take the citizenship test. You will have to answer questions about Canadian and Canadian rights and responsibilities: history, geography, economy, government, laws, symbols.
• To communicate in English or French (speaks and understands) (if you are 65 years of age or older, this does not apply)

You must meet the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 4 or higher in listening and speaking to become a Citizen. Reading and writing proof is not required. As a result, you can:

• Participate in short, daily discussions on common issues.
• Comprehension of simple instructions, questions and instructions.
• One can use basic, structured and tense grammar.
• You must show that you know enough common words and phrases to answer and express questions.

We accept various certificates, diplomas and language tests such as International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Canadian English Language-Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP), Testd’ÉvaluationFrançaise (TEF), Testd’Évaluation du FrançaisAdapté au Québec (TEFAQ) as proof of your language skills.

 
What will make you ineligible:

• One is under a removal order.
• Have a criminal record or face charges in Canada.
• Canadian citizenship has been denied as a result of misrepresentation.
• If your Canadian citizenship had been revoked.

 
Refusal:

Canadian citizenship can be requested again. This new application must contain all necessary forms and documents, including a new fee. Before you can apply again, there is no time waiting. However, before applying again, you should ensure that you satisfy the Canadian nationality requirements. You may also seek a judicial review of the decision of the Federal Court of Canada if your citizenship request is refused. This is not the decision’s appeal. You must submit a letter of refusal within thirty (30) days from that date.
